Seniors Make Memories—And a World Record?

On Sunday, Kent Denver seniors gathered on DeSo Field for a Guinness Book of World Records attempt at making the world's longest paperclip chain!

After spending more than 2.5 hours linking together over 31,000 paperclips, the seniors ended up with an unbroken chain that was 3,098 feet long (944.34 meters). University of Colorado-Denver professor Dr. Harold Schuch verified the exact measurements for the seniors, and his data will be part of the evidence submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Stay tuned for the official confirmation of the World Record in the weeks ahead!
