A significant campus renovation is underway at Kent Denver!
Through several major building and renovation projects, Kent Denver is creating more than 100,000 square feet of cutting-edge instructional spaces by the end of 2019. This transformation will foster the best possible learning environment and support innovation by teachers and students alike.
In March, 2018, Kent Denver moved into our new, state-of-the-art Middle School.
The building's innovative design provides the perfect setting for the exceptional teaching that defines a Kent Denver education. Highlights include:
- Flexible, larger classrooms
- John Kuntz Middle School Commons and Centennial Center
- Large windows that fill the building with natural light and multiple patios for outdoor access.
- Ample space for active learning, quiet reflection and intentional connection to our 200-acre campus
- Sustainably built to LEED-Platinum standards
Kent Denver's previous seventh- and eighth-grade classrooms, built in the 1960s, are undergoing a significant renovation. The resulting Visual Arts Center will open in the fall of 2018 to serve Upper and Middle School students.
At the same time, work is underway on a new Upper School classroom building and welcome center. This phase of construction will be completed in spring, 2019. Once students move into the new building, the current Upper School classroom wing will undergo a major renovation to modernize and enhance those learning spaces.
Kent Denver parents and guardians will receive periodic construction updates in the weekly Connection newsletter. Students will receive updates during assembly or via communication from school administrators or their advisors.
