Lacrosse

A pioneering program in Colorado lacrosse, Kent Denver has 12 state titles since interscholastic play began in 1976. A total of 10 Sun Devils players and coaches currently represent Kent Denver in the Colorado Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame.

The Sun Devils compete against the state's largest high schools as part of the 5A classification. The team has added to its long history of success in recent years, appearing in state title games in 2018 and 2019. Most recently, the team has made back-to-back appearances in the 5A state quarterfinals in 2022 and 2023. 

In 2023, the program welcomed Colin Squires as its head coach. Formerly a  USILA Third-Team All-American Division I lacrosse player for the University of Denver, Coach Squires currently plays professionally in the Premier Lacrosse League as a long-stick midfielder for the Whipsnakes. He was selected as an All-Star in 2023 for his outstanding play. 

He had previously served as the associate head coach at Kent Denver for two seasons, when he was named Assistant Coach of the Year. As the leader of our boys 6th-12th grade boys lacrosse program, Coach Squires is looking forward to building off the team's recent success and helping every player reach his full potential on and off the field.
