Kent Denver’s alumni and development programs are only successful with the help of our countless volunteers. Practice College Interviewer

Help current students prepare for their college interviews. Alumni serve as mock interviewers for our juniors and seniors. Practice interviews can be held over Zoom, so this is a great opportunity for alumni to volunteer from anywhere in the world.

Institute Mentor

Provide real-world guidance to students pursuing independent study projects through the Anschutz-Hunt Institute for Entrepreneurial Education, the Rollins Institute for Technology & Design, and the Walker Institute for Wellness. This might include being available for informational interviews, reviewing a student's business or helping a student apply for a patent.

EmpowHERment organizer

Help launch a KDS alumnae network for women. While the EmpowHERment program was created for current students, we don't want the impact to stop at graduation. We celebrate, amplify, and advocate for the diverse women of Kent Denver, and aim to provide networking opportunities and support to our vast alumnae network globally. Classroom/extracurricular guest speaker

Teachers regularly request help identifying speakers who can provide real-world insight into a particular topic, challenge or career field. Help us expand our alumni expert database.

Class Activities/Reunions

A successful reunion requires the efforts of many class volunteers. Reunion planning usually begins in the year leading up to your reunion, so if your class year ends in -3 or -8 now is the time to step forward and volunteer for Alumni Weekend 2023. Please contact Director of Alumni Relations, Hillary Hoffman '04 to volunteer.

Kent Denver alumni can be found in every major city in the United States and in many cities abroad. To find out who's in your area, or to organize a local “mini-reunion,” please contact Hillary Hoffman '04.

Breakthrough Kent Denver

Breakthrough Kent Denver—a nonprofit dedicated to providing under-served Denver middle school students with opportunities for additional learning—has many opportunities for volunteer involvement. If you are interested in mentoring students, providing community leadership, assisting with fundraising or helping with office tasks, please contact Brooke Brewer at bbrewer@kentdenver.org. We encourage our parents to play an active role in their children’s experience at Kent Denver by attending events, volunteering on campus, sponsoring events or participating in groups that work for the school’s benefit, such as the Kent Denver Parents’ Association. To learn about some of the opportunities for parents to get involved, please see below.

Kent Denver Parents’ Association

The Kent Denver Parents’ Association aims to improve the quality of campus life through activities and events that encourage participation and unity within the school community. The KDPA also seeks to promote cooperation in the education, growth and development of students.

There are a number of KDPA committees that oversee the Association’s many service and fund raising volunteer opportunities. Please use our volunteer form at any point throughout the school year to join our efforts.

Kent Denver Fund Parents’ Division

Last year, 50 current Kent Denver parents served as volunteers for the Kent Denver Fund’s Parents Division, and with their help, parents contributed more than 85% of the more than $1.8 million raised by the Kent Denver Fund last year. and volunteers played a key role in this success.

Kent Denver Childcare Center

Faculty and staff children ages six weeks though preschool are served by the infant and toddler center. Volunteers who love spending time with infants and toddlers are always welcome, as are donations of toys and materials.
